A single image of indoor coaching on the hugely popular Angler’s Mail magazine Facebook page brought a rush of interest.
It was taken at Cast North West, the unique scene of the exclusive Steve Collett feature in the September 29 issue of Angler’s Mail magazine.
The Cast North West centre gives a whole education in fishing and the many, many benefits it brings. Conservation, ecology, respect for the environment, fish breeding and care, water quality, habitat, plants, fishery construction – all of that gets covered, and more. Plus the tutors explain tactics to get enthused about the whole sport of angling.
Steve and Andy say it’s sure to get youngsters hooked

Steve said: “I know that me and you (Andy) will get some stick for coming and doing a feature on an indoor fishery – but this isn’t about promoting indoor fishing but looking at how to get the kids in. In a safe and warm environment. It’s how to get the kids in, in my opnion.”
Andy May noted: “Can you imagine going out in the winter, getting the kids involved – they’re just not going to be interested. The whole concept is just fantastic, it’s for all weathers – it’s just going to work.
“Fishing is an outdoor sport, that’s fishing – but this for its purpose of getting kids in, teaching them something, there’s nothing better. It’s just phenomenal, it really is,” added the MAP-backed ace.
