Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard selected the best products that caught his eye during 2016. Here's his lowdown on the Taska Sneeka Brolly System ...
THE lads at Taska clearly worked hard to get everything right with this top end brolly system.
The 66 in, space saving frame boasts an increased peak for more protection, 8 mm fibreglass ribs add stability, the hi-tech material coming with a very weather resistant 20,000 hydrostatic head waterproof rating.
The front infill panel, complete with mozzie mesh panels is removable; there’s heavy-duty protection where you need it too.
The equally heavy-duty groundsheet doesn’t only come with a built-in neoprene foot mat, there are pegging points under the actual groundsheet to improve the tensioning.
There’s three tensioning bars for added rigidity, and a handy 3,2,1 pegging point system on the front panel for height adjustment still retain a nice solid feel.
This Sneeka ‘package’ is also supplied with two long and two short, carpy green storm poles.
Even the large bespoke carry bag is heavy-duty, and the peg bag.
Other nice little touches are the bespoke nickel pegging points, the quality zippers, and the rod retention straps, which are made of neoprene – so you don’t scratch your rod blank.
