ANGLER’S MAIL editor Tim Knight was the only major UK magazine editor at the 2016 European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition in Amsterdam. Here he reports on success for the highly-rated latest fish and feature finder, Deeper.

The Best Accessory award at EFTTEX went to the latest version of the Deeper castable fish-finding and swim-searching devices.

It’s the latest of many international accolades picked up by the Lithuanian-based company for their nifty products, which relay underwater info live, wirelessly to your mobile phone, after you attach and cast the magic echo-sounding ball.

The Deeper UAB Smart Sonar Pro+ even tracks small objects and beams back via wi-fi from up to 100m, so you can build up a detailed map of a venue on GPS via the app.

This kind of info was previously achievable only on consoles on expensive fishing boats.

The Pro+ is out now, with a full retail of £195. There are two lower priced versions, but I gather from its UK distributor that this model’s been flying.

Deeper Team

The Deeper team collected their latest award (of many) in Amsterdam.

After being honoured at the EFTTEX 2016 show, Deeper spokesman Edvinas Vosylius said: “This prestigious award is a reputable addition to Deeper top achievement shelf…. next to a number of other well-respected rewards.

“It makes a solid quality demonstration, proving Deeper as the world’s most appreciated fishing technology.”
