THE day ticket complex that many thought may produce a British record pike has thrown up another big girl at 30 lb 12 oz – and two other uncaught big fish have also been spotted.

North Yorkshire’s Wykeham Lakes hit the headlines last winter after it came out at 40 lb 3 oz and then a record-nudging 45 lb 14 oz to Wyndon Coole on the 7.5 acre Trout Lake.

Terry Knight, then got exclusive access and caught the specimen at 43 lb 13 oz while fishing with angling journalist Dick Lee in March. But the fish has not been caught since.

Now predator fans are getting excited there are plenty of other back-up fish including the 30 to local Malton angler Marc Taylor-Olsson.
