The Middy Arco-Tech K-275 9-10 ft Feeder Rod F1 comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
FOR reading shy bites in cold water temperatures, anglers will welcome the new Middy Arco-Tech K-275 9-10 ft F1 Feeder.
Developed by top-flight match anglers, including Match This winner Chris Cameron, it’s the ideal length for making accurate casts across to far bank cover on commercials. You can also tuck it away to one side, out of blustery crosswinds, to enable you to spot every bite.
It comes with a sweet, soft action, taking on a lovely parabolic arc when playing fish, and a rigid mini butt with a Kevlar wrap, which provides a reserve of power for punching out rigs, or to help slow down big fish.
For more reach and direct contact, Middy have included a 1 ft extension, which slots in just above the handle, without having to break down your tackle.
It also comes with super-sensitive Light and Medium TS Trigger quivertips, specially designed to register the faintest of bites.
A slim cork handle and KTS smooth-flow guides complete the impressive list of features.
With a recommended casting weight of 40 g, it is rated for use with main lines to 10 lb and hook lengths to 8 lb.
A very useful winter rod!
Price: £124.99.
