The MAD Certitude Landing Net comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
THE big difference between the MAD Certitude Landing Net and similar looking carp designs is that the dual mesh is rubberised.
With rubberised mesh having proved itself as being fish-friendly in other areas of the sport, such as predator and match fishing, it brings similar advantages to carp fishing.
It’s less likely to remove slime from fish, because it’s more slippery, you’re less likely to get hooked up in it, and with the dual mesh, your lead can’t get stuck in it, so there’s less chance of a thrashing fish coming to harm.
It also dries extremely fast, which is another major plus point, as it’s much less likely to spread diseases.
The MAD team admit that there’s a bit of extra weight, but they have got around it by adding extra net floats, making it easy to guide through the water.
This 42 in. design also has a strong, metal spreader block and an ultra-light, 1.8 m handle made from 36T carbon.
