The JRC Defender Bait Bucket and Tackle Bag comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
ANYTHING that cuts down on how many separate items you’ve got to carry gets the thumbs up from me, the JRC Defender Bait Bucket and Tackle Bag will swallow up a lot of kit.
The three large external pockets will take tackle boxes, rig bits and accessories, they’re also designed to accept the Large, Medium and Small Defender Accessory Bags from the same range.
This leaves just the main compartment of the bag, with enough room to hold two 10-litre bait buckets (not supplied) stacked on top of each other, or a combination of 10-litre and 5-litre buckets.
Designed primarily for carpers, it’ll have obvious appeal to other specialist anglers, too.
The Defender Bait Bucket and Tackle Bag is made from a hard-wearing and water resistant 500D polyester material, with a reinforced water resistant base.
The pockets and main compartment are double-zipped, and the bag comes with webbing carry handles. It measures 45 x 33 x 45 cm.
It looks useful for those short-to-medium sessions, for a number of species.
