The JRC Extreme TX Pod comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard - and he was impressed! He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week. Check out his lowdown here…
IF YOU’RE a bit of a globetrotter and fish a number of different types of venue the versatility and adjustment available with the JRC Extreme TX Pod will appeal.
It offers adjustable length, and height plus a multitude of leg angles to ensure a solid and stable rod support system.
As well as the four more standard adjustable legs, a set of extra long legs are supplied which will allow you to fish your rod tips high in the air, if required.
The legs come with intelligent multi-leg splay adjustment, to get round bankside obstructions. Oversized cam levers on the main shaft offer easy adjustment too.
You’ll also find a countersunk screw system in the buzzer bars for easy alignment of your grips and alarms.
Using the standard legs, height adjustment ranges from around 23 cm to 75 cm, whilst the long legs will take the height of the front up to 195 cm for when you want to get a lot of line off the water. The main pod can be extended from 87 to 158 cm. It comes with a padded case, with enough room for your buzzers too.
