£2 for two

A single range of rigs, all barbless and all tied on 20 lb Dyneema/polyester braid. Available with short-shanked hooks in sizes 10 to 4. The braid is quite thick and is a bit too heavy for the size 10 and 8 hook versions. They are among the cheapest rigs here and will undoubtedly catch fish. The hook sharpness varied a bit in the samples, but these are great rigs for the occasional carper or for using on the odd French trip in the larger sizes.

A choice between the braided, boilie hair-rigs, boilie mono hair-rigs and Triggalink combi hair-rigs in barbed and barbless. The barbed are available in hook sizes 10 to 2, and the barbless in 10 to 4. The Triggalink rig uses a braid that is woven with PVA, and when immersed in water, the PVA melts, constricting the link and making it elastic in nature. These are basic rigs, with no tubing, and I feel the tails are a tad long and the knots quite bulky. But the Triggalink rig is definitely worth a try.

There are two styles – a mono range with hook sizes from 14 to 4 and a braided range with hook sizes from 12 to 4, both with barbed and barbless hooks. All the rigs in the braid range use 20 lb braid, which look a tad thick on the size 8s. It would be nice to see 10 lb or 12 lb links on these. Mono rigs are different breaking strains. The knotless knots looked bulky on some of the samples, but the hooks are strong and very sharp. The bait stop on the hair is a nice touch on the mono rig.

A choice of rigs tied from Fox’s Reflex and Snare braids, as well as Warrior mono. You can choose from the trusted and razor-sharp Series 1 and 2 hooks, both barbed and barbless, in sizes 4, 6 and 8, with a choice of 12 and 15 lb breaking strains. Perfectly knotted, this is a very nice, if slightly limited, range. It would have been nice to have seen a coated braid rig. Great rigs and competitively priced.

£1.90-£1.99 each
A range of two styles of rig, with a choice of hook style. There’s a knotless knot braided hair-rig tied with a choice of the G4 or T6 hooks in barbed and barbless, with size 10 and 8 hooks tied to 12 lb Sinklink, or size 6 and 4 hook rigs tied to 15 lb Sinklink. The other style is a Strip Tease rig – a coated hook length with a curved, shrink-tubing extension to the hook. Superbly tied rigs with a choice of very sharp Teflon-coated Big-T, long shank and D7 hooks, with the 8s and 7s to 15 lb Strip Tease and the 6s and 5s tied to 20 lb Strip Teaze.

Knots are super neat and tidy and the hair loops are just the right size. There are four rig styles in the range – braid rigs, adjustable hair stinger rigs, fluorocarbon stiff rigs and skin-coated rigs. They are available in barbed and barbless versions. Complete with free ‘jelli’ hair stops, which is nice to see. The attention to detail is second to none. I was very impressed with the very versatile skin-coated rig. Superb value, too, as you get two rigs in each packet.
