Unloaded cigar shaped pellet wagglers, available in 3AAA, 4AAA and 5AAA sizes, all with a satin black finish. These short, stumpy balsa floats are ideal for fishing shallow and are perfect for short to medium range presentation. With big locking shot around them they make a nice fish-attracting splash and don’t dive too deep. Ideal floats to use with shorter, softer action pellet waggler rods when fishing open water, or close to island features on smaller commercial fisheries.
SCORE: 26/30

Balsa floats with pronounced lower bodies, tapering down to slimmer tips, or even finer hollow plastic inserts. These floats have adjustable loadings and are supplied with self-locking waggler adaptors, being available in 4 gr, 6 gr and 8 gr sizes. The dumpy shaped bodies help to stop these floats from diving deeply and also create an attractive splash. It’s very handy being able to adjust the loadings to suit a wide variety of conditions, while the extra self-locking adaptors are also very useful.

Cigar shaped balsa wagglers with buoyant sight tips that have small plastic flights installed. The latter feature helps these semi-loaded floats fly better on the cast and also makes the tips highly visible at long range. These floats have a satin black finish, along with swivelling base eyes, and are available in 4 gr, 6 gr, 8 gr and 10 gr sizes. They are perfect for general-purpose pellet waggler fishing, creating a good splash, not diving too deeply and the size range covers all but the most extreme distances.
SCORE: 26/30

Clear, straight plastic wagglers with swivelling loaded bases. Available in 1.5 gr, 2 gr, 2.5 gr, 3 gr, 3.5 gr and 4 gr sizes, these floats only require three No.4 shot to dot them down. These minimal locking shot are just enough to anchor them on the line, avoiding the need for specialised self-locking float adaptors. Being slightly slimmer than conventional pellet wagglers, this design dives a tad deeper, but its buoyant sight tip quickly pulls it back up. Best suited for short to middle range work.
SCORE: 26/30

Unusual and totally unique floats that feature two-part bodies, the lower half loaded and free sliding on a fibreglass stem, being available in 4 gr, 6 gr, 8 gr, 12 gr, 16 gr and
20 gr sizes. While casting the body closes together, making the float more aerodynamic, but on entry into the water the body separates, preventing the float from diving too deep. Once separated, the base of the float creates better stability, while the domed tip presents more resistance to taking fish, often causing self-hooking.
SCORE: 27/30

Meaty diameter straight wagglers with interchangeable base weights. These 3 gr, 3.5 gr, 4 gr, 4.5 gr and 5 gr floats are all perfect self-cockers, while unloaded versions are also available. They have just the right balance and buoyant enough tips to pop them quickly back to the surface after landing, while their translucent sight tips stand out well in most light conditions. The interchangeable base weights are another big bonus, while this unobtrusive design casts straight and doesn’t upset shallow feeders.
SCORE: 30/30
