THE world’s first 100 lb common carp that Angler’s Mail revealed last week from France’s Etang la Saussaie – has defied odds and was caught again days later at a slightly lower weight of 99 lb 12 oz.

The fish – which strangely doesn’t have a nickname unlike virtually all big carp – is normally only caught once a year  but John Thorpe caught her for a second time after Colin Smith created history with her at 100 lb 8 oz.
