ANGLING honeymoons have boomed in recent years but a wedding completely themed around angling is taking things to the next level.

That’s what happy fish-mad couple Andy and Maria Dickinson did.

The room where they had their wedding breakfast was suitably decorated with a fishy scene on the menu cards, shubunkins in stacked fish bowls as our centre pieces, a beautiful lakeside fishing themed wedding cake, a fish tableplan with all tables named after magnificent fish of the sea.

Gifts for guests consisted of fish chocolates, fish handbag charms for the ladies, fish bottle opener key rings for the chaps and a stuffed cuddly fish for the little ones. All with gift tags that matched our invitations.

In the evening, the happy couple from Carlton, Nottinghamshire, had a candy bar that was sea creature and fish themed with shrimps, jelly turtles, jelly dolphins and chocolate fish and chips.

This was all rounded off by a happy honeymoon down at Anglers Paradise, Devon, where fishery owner Zyg Gregorek renewed their vows.
