FAMOUS day ticket venue Bury Hill Fisheries has released a potential fishery record zander into its main lake, giving visitors the chance to make history at the 100-year-old stillwater.
The 17 lb 3 oz zed was netted last week during stock assessment work on the fishery’s neighbouring members’ carp lake Temple.
The mint-conditioned fish was one of four double-figure zander moved into 12.5-acre Old Bury Hill Lake, which has produced them to 13 lb this winter. A further 30 fish ranging from 3 lb to 9 lb were also stocked.
