RISING carp star Jack Brown has become possibly the youngest ever angler to catch UK 50 lb-plus mirror and common carp, after landing a 52 lb 1 oz beast.

The carp world’s first ever angling apprentice, Jack Brown, who has been given a huge chance by Nash Tackle, added a third 50-pounder to his growing tally of whackers, with a 51 lb 2 oz mirror in the same trip to make an historic brace.

Jack, 20, from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, started a 72 hour session on Kevin Nash’s Church Lake knowing just a 50 lb common would give him that unique feat – but didn’t realise he’d catch both types of 50 in the same trip.
