AS seen in this week’s Mail, there are loads of angling DVDs out this Christmas and one of the best has to be Martin Bowler’s Seeking Shadows.

Filmed over two years, it shows some fantastic action around a Dorset lake and the Welsh coast, with Martin catching everything from huge blue and porbeagle sharks to monster carp and pike. Below are some exclusive images from the filming of the first part of Seeking Shadows, with part two due in 2013.

Big carp from Milton Abbas in Dorset – filmed above and below the water – feature heavily in Seeking Shadows.

A blue shark attacks the boat during filming.

The clear water of Martin’s target lake led to some great underwater footage of carp in their natural environment.

Crucians also have a starring role in the film.

One of most exciting moments – when a big porbeagle sharks hits Martin’s bait on film.

Two years of hard work paid off when Martin hit his targets, like this huge old carp.
