DESPITE last week’s Yorkshire 40, the West Country’s Chew Valley remains the place to be for huge pike and Mike Genge ended with two topped by this 32 lb 8 oz cracker.

The 32-year-old bagged a brace of 30s from the prolific Bristol Water-controlled venue with another enormous croc weighing in at 31 lb.

Mike opted for a static deadbait approach using herring and added a 31 lb monster.

And fishing from the bank, Steve Hulbert also got in on the action banking a 28 lb 8 oz cracker.
