THE biggest zander of the season has been caught with this 19 lb 14 oz monster to Ian Crook.


The Bolton exile, who now lives down in Wokingham, Berkshire, boated the seventh heaviest UK zander ever from predator mecca Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire.

It is the second biggest zed from the huge trout water that also holds various coarse fish. A 22 lb specimen was caught by Mick Dolan in 2009 but he couldn’t claim an official British record as the fish was only weighed in a boat and not on the bank.
