WITH over 30 years of military sleeping bag experience, Fortis released their Compact Techlite sleeping bag for anglers.
The Compact Techlite is a serious piece of kit for anglers who want to travel light.
Handmade in the UK, it’s a military-style bag, ideal for overnighters and longer sessions.
Coming with elasticated hoods (top and bottom), to attach it to your bedchair, there are also good-sized internal draught baffles and crash zips, with another near the neck, to retain body heat.
It weighs less than 2.4 kg and comes with Snugpak Softie Premier insulation, a feature that soldiers and climbers have appreciated for years.
The Fortis Techlite sleeping bag also has a removable top layer that can be zipped back on when temperatures are really low.
Adjusting from a five-season bag to a three-season one with the top layer removed also brings the overall weight down to less than 2 kg. You’ll also find that you can fold it down into any bedchair, or use the compression sack supplied.
The Snugpak Paratex micro fabric is highly breathable and windproof, too, so you shouldn’t sweat or feel any drafts.
With dimensions of 195 x 80 cm, it’s been specially crafted to fit the compact, popular range of bedchairs such as the Trakker Compact Levelite and Wychwood Compact Tactical, among others.
Prices: Olive £229.95; DPM – Disruptive Pattern Material £249.95
