The Sufix 832 Advanced Superline comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.

THIS new braided line sounds interesting.

As well as a seven-strand Dyneema fibre construction, it contains a strand of Gore fibre, it looks very useful for working lures or casting out rigs for carp.

The fact that this is a tightly woven braid with 32 weaves per inch means it’s easy to understand why it’s being billed as the strongest, most durable braid for its diameter.

The single strand of Gore gives this braid a silky smooth feel, helping it to peel off the spool of your reel readily on the cast, resulting in improved casting range.

With less friction and improved abrasion resistance, the Gore lasts longer on your reels.

Round in profile, the HMPE fibres add the strength and sensitivity that we’ve come to appreciate from braided lines.

To cover many angling options, it’s available in Lo-Vis Green, Neon Lime and Multicolour options.

Sizes start at 0.10 mm (13 lb) and run to 0.48 mm (99 lb). It is available on 120 m spools up to 3,200 m bulk spools, depending on colour preference.

Price: from £17.99 for 120 m.
