The Sonik Tournos XD 10000 Carp Reel is brand new from Sonik, and is a reel for ‘big chucks’ – for repeatedly hitting those long-range marks.
A great partner to the new gravity XT Carp Rods, this ‘big hitter’ comes with super-slow oscillation for that perfect line lay for distance casting. It’s supplied with a spare CNC machined, anodized aluminium spool, too. Spool capacities are 330 m of 0.35 mm and 490 m of 0.35 mm.
Built to handle all of the demands that come with fishing at range, Sonik have designed this reel with 14+1 stainless shielded bearings, a dual-strength stainless steel main shaft, high-strength carbon composite body and rotor.
Add their Quick-Torque drag system for easy drag adjustment, twin spring-loaded line clips, to make clipping-up simple, and a QUICK-CLIK folding handle complete with wooden grip and you’ll see that the XD 10000 ticks a lot of boxes for the carper, especially with a retail price of under £130.
