The Bait-Tech 8mm Halibut Marine Pellets come under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
Description: an 8 mm pellet joining an already extensive range of solid and pre-drilled options.
Ingredients: dark and super oily pellets with pre-digested fishmeals and fatty acids.
My verdict: Halibut Marine pellets will attract all types of species, from roach and bream to carp and catfish, even barbel and chub on rivers, thanks to their rich, fishy, oily make-up.
Already available in 3 to 20 mm sizes, the 8 mm, to accompany the pre-drilled 8 mm version, is a welcome addition.
You can add them to your groundbait, PVA bag or spod mix, or you could even loosefeed them via a catapult.
It’s a good idea to feed a mix of sizes, as they will break down at different rates, which will make it difficult for fish to figure out the dangerous one (the one that you present on a bait band or hair-rig).
Price: £3.95 (900 g).
