VENUES and dates have been announced for Britain’s most popular big money match fishing event - Fish'O'Mania, with a boosted jackpot of £50,000. Angler's Mail shares the full info with you here - and AM magazine will be THE place to follow all the action in 2016.

The 4,380 Fish’O’Mania tickets priced £25 each for the 130-plus peg qualifiers won’t actually go on sale online until January but the 2016 event will feature 28 qualifiers, an increase of 12 on previous years, with 19 venues to be used.

Competitors will be aiming to emulate North West ace Jamie Hughes, who in the summer of 2015 matched the two Fish’O’Mania wins of Matt Hall. Jamie took the lead from the early stages in what was a tight but relatively low weight  final at Cudmore, Staffordshire.

The heats around the country in 2016 lead to the finals weekend in July, where 32 anglers will fish day one and half making into a 16-man showdown for the big money…this time with £50,000 first prize!

Applicants for Fish’O’Mania tickets must be members of the Angling Trust.

More about the Fish’O’Mania qualifiers in 2016

Qualifiers will be fished on traditional Saturdays and Wednesdays and for the first time in its recent history on Sundays, beginning late March, and finishing by end of June, providing variety and choice for anglers to participate.

Solhampton Fishery in Worcestershire has joined the roster which will host its first qualifier in March, while Lake View Fishery, Heronbrook Fisheries and Maver Larford Lakes are back for 2016 with many of the popular fisheries from recent years also hosting qualifiers.

The larger qualifiers fished at Garbolino Lindholme Lakes and Partridge Lakes will see 2 anglers qualifying from the field in each qualifier, dramatically improving angler’s chances of reaching finals weekend and scooping the £50,000.

Applications for tickets will open on Wednesday 6th January 2016, the window for applications will be open for 3 weeks and a random draw will determine ticket allocations.

Applicants must be a member of the Angling Trust in order to apply for tickets and ticket prices for qualifiers will remain at £25 each.
