Angler’s Mail has a carp blog coming here regularly from the crew at Fox International.

FINALLY it has arrived, after years in development, with countless hours going into testing and tweaking all the items, the Edges range has landed in shops and is already proving a big hit!

Working closely with our retailers we have heard that many have already sold out of a number of the products and are making emergency ‘top up’ orders.

We have also received a number of messages on Facebook and Twitter informing us of a number of PB’s that have been smashed in the last few weeks by anglers who have been utilising the items from the Edges range. It is very rewarding for the whole team when anglers get in contact with us absolutely buzzing after a capture of a special fish; it makes the time and effort spent on producing these products worthwhile.

If you have not seen or heard much about the Edges range then check out our free DVD ‘Carp Fishing Edges’ which was filmed during the latter stages of testing the whole range and features some truly mind blowing results. These include a world record carp, arguably the UK’s best looking carp, Ian Chillcott landing a day ticket carp of over 40lb, Tom Maker taking apart Abbey Lakes and Mark Bartlett hauling on Sandhurst in bitterly cold conditions.

Put simply this DVD is really entertaining and will no doubt help you catch carp. You can pick it up from your local Fox stockist or alternatively check it out below via Angler’s Mail TV.

We have probably never received as many catch reports as we have in the last month. It really has been a productive month for carp fishing. We have had so many reports that it has been impossible to keep up.

If you follow our Facebook page you will have seen that the Northey Park Complex in Peterborough has thrown up more than its fair share of 30lbers. The vast majority of these fish have been falling to anglers fishing Hinged Stiff Rigs, with a Coretex boom section, a Rigidity hook section and the awesome Arma Point SR hooks. Jake Waterman is one of those anglers who has been regularly putting bigguns on the bank and sending in his catch reports.

Karl Pitcher has also been getting amongst some big fish on his syndicates Grenville lake and Monks Pit in Cambridgeshire.  At Grenville Karl put together an impressive 14 fish session which included 4 fish over 30lbs. These were all caught at 145 yards range over a bed of New Grange and Cell boilies. Due to the leader ban imposed on Grenville Karl was using the superb Exocet Tapered Line to insure he effortlessly hit the distance with little fuss.

His rigs were kept simple, a Coretex hooklink and size 6 Arma Point SSBP combo was more than enough to do the business. The same rig worked again a few weeks later on a trip to Monks Pit where he managed to land a number of carp up to an impressive 40lb 8oz, a fish known as the Quarter Linear Tail.

Exocet Tapered line allowed Karl to reach his 145 yard spot and bank a host of chunks.

Karl’s rich vein of form continued as he put a Monks Pit 40-pounder on the bank.

Well I could go on with some more great captures but quite simply we don’t have the space, so I am going to leave it there for this month.

If you’re the type of angler who likes to travel light, but also enjoys a nice bit of comfort then I would strongly recommend checking the FX Flatliter out! Here’s a sneak peek (right).

The FX Flatliter is a product where less is more – less weight, less bulk, less hassle. Find out more soon in Angler’s Mail magazine.

Our next Fox Carp Blog for this website will yet again feature new products that are sure to be a big hit. So until then, keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages for all the latest updates and info!
