MOTHER nature certainly seems to be having some fun and games at the moment!

We’re now into November and there has barely been a sign of a frost for the majority of the UK, these expected subzero conditions seem to have been replaced by the extreme gales that have battered the country. It appears that the few anglers we have spoken to that braved the wild conditions have had to go through such extremes as fixing their bivvies to their bedchairs, just to stop them taking flight!

Staff member Sammie Perkins was one angler to brave the conditions and come out on top. She enjoyed a great session when she landed four superb carp topped by a 30lb 3oz cracker at Cherry Lakes in the Cotswolds. All of her fish fell to the new Dynamite Baits Monster Tiger Nut ‘Red Amo’ boilies presented on a size 10 SCS Razor Point and 15lb Re-Action braid. Here she is pictured with a stunning looking fish that tipped the scales at 25lb 2oz – Well done Sammie!

Simon Hofgartner has also been getting amongst a few fish at a local syndicate venue. Once again, braving the conditions, Simon persisted through driving rain throughout the duration of a 24-hour session and was rewarded with runs galore! His session was topped off with a couple of upper 20lb mirrors. All of his fish fell to Dynamite Baits White Chocolate boilies fished alongside a multitude of ACE rig components.

For the rest of the blog we make our way across the pond, where not only have there been a few very significant captures of late by our anglers, but there has also been some fantastic news for ACE over at the World Carp Classic competition on Lake Bolsena, Italy.

The duo of Bianca Venema and Lizette Beunders put up a fantastic fight for the title and after the weeklong event, their total of 40 carp for 366.5kg was way more than enough to crown them champions of the event. What a fantastic achievement when you consider they were up against 450 other carpers!

ACE product developer Max Cottis also enjoyed a trip of a lifetime recently when he put together an awesome catch from French mecca, Ribiere. Max’s catch consisted of 31 fish, with six of these weighing in at over 50lb! If this doesn’t sound impressive enough, the biggest fish included in Max’s catch was the lakes largest resident known as ‘Julie’, weighing in at a monstrous 81lb! All of his fish were tamed on our MCS Razor Point hooks.

Another angler getting amongst the overseas giants is Iain Macmillan. Having spent a fair bit of time recently targeting a multitude of venues across the pond, he has now really started to rack up an impressive tally of giants. In fact, he is currently fishing Graviers at the moment and has already landed two fish over 50lb, both of which have also been eclipsed by a mega 65lb beast! Pictures from fish session will be in next month’s blog.

Like I said though, he has also managed to get out on a few other waters overseas, and has managed some cracking fish to over 40lb from Abbey Lakes. He has also spent his time wisely back here in the UK, where a number of fish to over 30lb have slipped up to his traps.

One thing we’re very happy to hear is that the new Dynamite Baits Monster Tiger Nut ‘Red Amo’ is leading to all these captures – it’s certainly one to keep an eye out for!
