WELCOME to our latest daily blog, exclusively here on the Angler’s Mail website.

Thursday is our Big Fish Blog and it’s the turn of Pallatrax, our magazine’s Specimen Cup sponsors. Team Pallatrax leader Jez Brown wrote this interesting instalment.

With this new logo, Angler’s Mail Specimen Cup sponsors Pallatrax blog for us in the mix of Big Fish bloggers.

EXCITING times at Pallatrax this month as the new HQ and bait production facility are in full operation at our new premises in Barnstaple.

This is a bespoke unit with new bait production machinery and a shop front and as always conforms to the highest standards of ethical bait manufacturing that the brand is so well known for.

Luke shows his carp from Emperor.

Well it didn’t really get very warm over the first three weeks of April but some of the team and friends ventured down to Emperor Lakes for Jez’s 40th birthday and had some fantastic success.

What a great place it is with plenty of options for everyone and a new lake opening mid 2013 – keep an eye out for launch dates as we’ll be down there to report on its opening.

Pallatrax team man Luke Ayling had a new PB with this 28lb+ carp taken on the ever trusty Jungle Squabs and boilies.

Marc admires his fine specimen.

The same session saw my good friend Marc ‘Brutus’ Brion join us and the Elixir 6 ‘barbel’ bait was responsible for the capture of this 27 lb 2 oz carp. Marc always seems to do well on our trips and with out bait, well done mate!!

Ray Pulford.

A great part of being in Team Pallatrax is the option of testing new products and Ray Pulford caught half a dozen pristine carp on some soon to be released Terminal Contact tackle.

Here’s Ray (above) with his best fish of the session and keep an eye out on our Facebook page and soon to be launched new website for further updates.

Finally the new branding for Pallatrax in the shape of our new logo (right) which will appear on future clothing and packaging.

It couldn’t be a simpler message about catching more fish, which I guess is one of the reasons we all go fishing…

Good luck out there and please don’t forget to keep us informed of all your Pallatrax captures on Facebook.
