MIDLANDS
Certain sections of the Coventry Canal in the Tamworth, Staffordshire area will offer good sport but make sure you have a Waterways Wanderers permit and your rod licence!
If you are in a club that rents other water off BW or are a member of Angling Trust the fee is £10 a year. If the above doesn’t apply the fee is £20. Get your Waterways Wanderers permit from John Harding, 34 Nantwich Road, Tarporley, CW6 UW or email j.harding048@btinternet.com
Caistor Fisheries, Caistor, Lincolnshire. Day tickets are £6 per day per person from the café on the way in. Night fishing is by strict prior arrangement only. Call Mike or Rob on 01472 852032.
Packington Somers Fishery, Meriden, West Midlands.
Day tickets on the lakes are £7 adults or £5 for OAPs and under-16s; it’s much cheaper for morning or afternoon sessions only. Costs on the lakes are also greatly reduced from November 1. Call 01676 523833.
