One of the beautiful lakes at Wylands

FIELD LAKE is approximately 1.5 acres and is home to a good head of small carp from 1-5lb. There are a few larger surprises and is ideal for the angler fishing to catch their first carp. Beginner coaching sessions are held on this lake during the summer.

HOUSE LAKE is ideally located close to the Poachers Rest snack bar. This 2 acre lake is extremely picturesque. Carp up to 28lb can be caught, as well as tench up to 8lb, roach to 2lb, barbel up to 7lb and perch to 3lb. It also caters for the disabled angler, or those unable to walk too far.

MIDDLE LAKE is thought by many as on of the best all round waters on the complex. Holding carp to 27lb, roach to 2lb, barbel to 3lb, rudd to 2lb and perch to 4lb it is one of the more popular lakes.

MAISIES LAKE is our dedicated catfish water, holding cats up to 60lb. The water is by booking only and holds a maximum of 8 anglers at any one time. There are a few uncaught carp up to about 20lb.

OLD SPECI is a 3 acre water holding around 25 swims. It is a very prolific water with some anglers catching up to 30 fish in a 24 hour session. Carp run to 26lb.

NEW SPECI has a large island in the middle of the 2.5 acre lake. Extensive work has been carried out to improve the swims as well as clearing of snags on the island. Carp run to 33lb but there is a good head of roach and rudd as well.

KELL LAKE is a secluded 2 acre water nestled in a beautiful wooded area. The hardest lake on the complex, Kell has produced the largest fish on site, Warty, currently at 35lb 3oz. There is also a good head of silver fish.

SNAKE LAKE is our match lake. At 2 miles long it boasts 205 pegs. Bookings can be taken or clubs, organisations and charities. Extensive works are being carried out to de-snag and de-weed the Snake to bring it back to its former glory.

ROSIES LAKE is one of the prettier lakes on the complex. It is ideal for the beginner or pleasure angler where old fashioned fishing is the key. No bite alarms or overnight fishing is allowed.
