The Red Lion Piscators club based at Shobdon in Herefordshire near the Wales border has a couple of stillwaters. The first is the The Larches. If you are not a member you can fish it on a £5 day ticket, available from Shobdon Post Office or on the bank. Next door is the Pumphouse Pool, a members-only stillwater.

Grand Union Canal, Small Heath, West Midlands. You can fish along here on a day ticket; someone may come along and relieve you of a couple of quid. For more on the Cornerstone Angling Club lengthy stretch of the Grand Union give Larry Teepot, aka Peter Taylor, a call on 07743 209572.
Dog Lane Fishery, Napton, Warwickshire. Costs on Willow and Widgeon are: £6 adults or £4 for under-16s and OAPs. On the Grebe Lake a day ticket is £10 from 6am to 6pm with 24-hour sessions available, 6pm to 6pm, at £20. Costs on The Grebe are for up to two rods, maximum.
