The Tegstove comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.

THE Tegstove cooking stove comes with a difference – it also charges your mobile phone, tablet or camera.

Securing investment from Peter Jones on Dragon’s Den, it uses a powerful Thermoelectric Generator to produce energy, which is stored in an internal battery until you need it, harnessing the power of butane gas, which is stored inside.

It’s tall, so you don’t have to bend down too far when cooking, and it’s stable, with three adjustable arms and legs providing a level surface.

It comes with Piezo ignition, and the Tegstove team have ensured that the heat is distributed over a wide cooking area.

You can pre-charge the Tegstove’s internal battery via a micro USB port, or alternatively it will begin charging when you light it.

The stove then stores the charge, allowing you to connect your mobile phone, tablet, camera or other devices via a standard USB socket when the stove is not lit, although it is possible to charge devices when the stove is in use.

Weighing 1.4 g, it comes complete with charging light indicators and charging leads.

For those longer sessions on the bank, this all-in-one device is a very interesting proposition.
