DESCRIPTION. There’s five pools. Mallard has carp to 20 lb, bream to 4 lb, tench to 3 lb, roach and rudd to 1 lb 8 oz. Kingfisher for carp to 20 lb, tench and bream to 4 lb, perch and crucians to 2 lb, roach to 1 lb and barbel. Orfe Pool has carp to 17 lb, tench and bream to 4 lb, crucians and perch to 2 lb, roach and rudd to 1 lb 8 oz. Horseshoe has carp to 25 lb, tench and bream to 4 lb, perch to 2 lb plus roach and rudd to 1 lb 8 oz. Trevors houses carp to 12 lb, bream and tench to 4 lb, crucians to 2 lb plus roach and rudd to 1 lb 8 oz.
TACTICS. Float fish soft pellet over fishery feed pellets for mixed catches. Other baits to try are maggot, caster, corn or worm.
GOOD SWIMS. Virtually every peg has some sort of feature.

LOCATION. From the A5 (Shrewsbury Outer Bypass) take the A488, signed to Bishops Castle. Pass through Hanwood and pass the Lea Cross Tavern on the left. A quarter of a mile past the Lea Cross Tavern turn left, signed Plealey. After a further
200 yards Spring Lea Farm is on your right. Go through the yard and you’ll see the road and gate, taking you across the fields to car park and pools.
