ANGLER’S MAIL magazine is looking for a highly motivated sub-editor keen on joining its strong and enthusiastic team.
The ideal candidate will be able to work quickly and accurately on a variety of news, features and reviews to tight deadlines for print and web.
He or she must be able to spot inconsistencies as soon as they look at a page, be talented in bringing dull copy to life, be fantastic at writing brilliant captions and pull-quotes, and be a meticulous fact-checker.
The successful candidate will ideally have an understanding of coarse angling jargon. Competence in InDesign is essential. Experience of website updating would be a distinct advantage.
To apply, please send your CV to Tim Knight, Editor, Angler’s Mail, Blue Fin Building, 110 Southwark Street, London, SE1 0SU or e-mail email@example.com
If you do not have sub-editing experience, and simply wish to get some creative angling writing published, then the magazine is always interested in submissions for the Tales From The Riverbank page. Your angling story MUST be true, interesting (amusing or unusual) and around 800 words long. We cannot promise it will be published, but it will be read. E-mail words, marking your e-mail “Tales From The Riverbank”, to: firstname.lastname@example.org
