We can reveal that England Ladies team were seventh in the Ladies World Angling Championships. The Czech Republic won the title.
Back home, twice former Angler’s Mail-Kamasan Matchman of the Year Dave Harrell won Saturday’s big individual match at the Evesham Festival, the Shakespeare Championships, thanks to a 13 lb barbel. Sunday’s Wychavon Championship, also on the Warwickshire Avon, went to Alan Scotthorne with 24 lb of bream.
