THIS week’s Angler’s Mail angling job of the week is for a tackle shop assistant at  Cob House Fisheries, Wichenford, Worcester.

 

They tell us….
“We have a vacancy for a person in the tackle shop; this will be on a temporary contract and reviewed at the end of September. Reporting to: the partners. There will be one day off in the week and alternate weekends as below. There are many skills required some of which are listed below (not in any particular order)…

 

Now noted for match fishing, but with lots more going on – that’s Cob House.

Essential:

  • Pleasant and clear telephone manner
  • Honest
  • Reliable
  • Good knowledge of coarse and game fishing
  • Flexible approach
  • Must be organised and methodical with paperwork
  • Computer literate
  • Able to communicate the fishery rules in a pleasant manner and ensure that all visitors to the fishery know where to obtain information, nets etc.
  • Past experience of organising fishing matches
  • A good knowledge of the fishery rules

Desirable:

  • Level 2 angling coach
  • Retail experience
  • Point of sale experience
  • Experience with animal care

Summer Times – April to Sept
Monday 8am – 11am
Tuesday Off Off
Wednesday 8am – 11am
Thursday 8am – 11am
Friday 8am – 11am
Saturday 7.30 am – 11am 12.30 noon to 4pm alternate weekends
Sunday 7.30am – 11am 12.30 noon to 3 alternate weekends
Week 1 (Weekend off) = 12 hours. Week 2 (Weekend on) = 25 hours
Average over 14 days = 18.5 hours per week
The hours are subject to change to meet the needs of the business. Min wage will apply.
