EA struggle to tackle rise in illegal fishing

CONCERNS that illegal fishing gangs are becoming more professional have been backed up by some shocking finds of home-made and specialist kit.
The latest seizures by Environment Agency officers were made on the River Thames. Among the nets found was an unattended gillnet, which can trap fish and wildfowl, and two DIY traps.
