Great gurnard is new record

A LONG-STANDING British sea record has been broken by a boat angler from Plymouth.
Kristian Quenault landed the 2 lb 8 oz grey gurnard whilst fishing on ‘Jay Dee’, skippered by Jeffrey Brownlow, using a Savage Gear sandeel lure over a wreck off the South West coast.

121-pounder is UK’s biggest lake sturgeon

PREDATOR angling coach Rikki Cooper recorded the biggest ever lake sturgeon in the UK when he caught this 121 lb 9 oz monster while holding a 48-hour catfish masterclass.
Rikki was teaching a group of five at Oakwood Park – formerly called Witch Lakes – when a shoal of huge sturgeon invaded their swims.

THE British rudd record appears to have been obliterated with a stunning 5 lb 2 oz monster.
Adrian Cannon made the remarkable capture from the day ticket Whittlesey Drain, Cambridgeshire.
