NEIL STEPHEN clung on to his perch crown, but the British Record Fish Committee did accept some records last week in their twice-yearly meeting.

Mark targets Bristol Avon for his favourite species and has amassed a huge number of fish over 2 lb but his latest catch was hard earned.

SURELY the young angler of the year – Alfie Russell – has amazed us with another specimen, a 14 lb 2 oz bream.
The 13-year-old, from urban Camden, North London, offered a Nash Monster Squid boilie at a ‘local park lake’.
