The Preston Innovations Reflo Fluorocarbon comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.
I THINK the new Preston Innovations Reflo Fluorocarbon is going to do well. It’s a hi-tech match line designed to put the odds very much in your favour, especially in clear water conditions, where it’s almost invisible.
This one is made from 100 per cent fluorocarbon and has been designed with improved stiffness over traditional mono. It’ll make an ideal choice for a feeder fishing hook length, where it’ll kick out, lay straight and disappear on the bottom. You should also find that you’re fishing more direct when it comes to hitting bites.
It’s also winning fans when used for pole fishing hook lengths, where it resists twisting up when shipping in and out. I’ve already heard that it’s very easy to tie, and the feedback is that it’s strong and sinks well, too.
There are nine diameters, from 0.08 mm (1.13 lb) up to 0.22 mm (7.58 lb), which covers everything from silver fish to hefty commercial carp.
This one has taken a long time to source, and the lads at Preston are clearly pleased with it.
Price: £5.99 for 50 metres.
