Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard is the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week. Here's his lowdown on the Korum Day Shelter…

THE popular breed of higher, more comfortable fishing chairs, can mean you’re restricted when it comes to headroom under your shelter.

Korum’s new Day Shelter addresses this issue, it’s taller offering plenty of headroom – it’s 1.6 m from floor to peak. There’s actually enough room for a couple of anglers to shelter during a day session.

It’s light, 4 kg, takes minutes to put up and it packs away smaller than its predecessor, fitting in a quiver holdall.

It’s waterproof with taped seams, the little storm sides are a nice touch to keep a bit more ‘weather’ out.

It also comes with a tension strap and adjustable tension poles and two rod- retention straps. It’s supplied with heavy-duty pegs. Not bad at all for under £90.
