The DAM Effzett Thermo Suit comes under the beady eye of Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard. He's the No.1 products inspector, checking out loads of quality kit every week.

AS temperatures drop and the weather deteriorates, you’ll fish better and for longer if you stay warm and dry. Enter the new Effzett Thermo Suit, available through DAM.

It offers the versatility of a three-in-one breathable jacket, with a weather-beating hooded outer and a zip-up, insulated, detachable inner that can just as easily be worn on its own or together. And it couples with a bib ‘n’ brace, to provide all-over body protection.

The outer has a 100 per cent waterproof, durable shell fabric with 8,000 mm rating and taped seams, with high-quality insulation provided by 100 per cent down-like polyester in 160 gsm. There’s also a comfy inner lining of 100 per cent polyester micro fleece and polyester taffeta.

A wired peak on the adjustable hood will help maintain its shape. The quick-drying neoprene/fleece cuffs keep you warm if your wrists end up getting wet returning fish or playing them. There are also Velcro adjustable outer cuffs on the arms. As well as two zipped chest pockets, the Effzett team have included two zipped, fleece-lined handwarmer pockets, to get the feeling back in your fingers if you need to.

The detachable, zip-up inner jacket, based on a high-quality shell material, is insulated by 120 gsm, down-like polyester.

The bib ‘n’ brace has an elasticated waist back and belt straps, and quality ‘suspenders’ with strong buckles to ensure a better fit. There are zips on the lower legs and Velcro adjustment, with a zipped chest pocket and a pair of zipped, fleece-lined handwarmer pockets.

Double wind guards feature on both the strong quality main zippers on the jacket and bib ‘n’ brace, whilst the outer layers have water repellent zips on the pockets. Sizes M-XXL.

Prices: Jacket £139.99. Bib and brace £69.99.
