Angler's Mail tackle editor Richard Howard selected the best products that caught his eye during 2016. Here's his lowdown on the Korum Snapper Dropshot Tackle ...

I CAN only imagine how many anglers have started dropshotting thanks to Korum’s easy-access Dropshot tackle range.

For the 2016 season, they launched a nifty 7 ft Snapper Twin Tip Dropshot Rod to follow the eight-footer launched the year before, coming complete with a light glass tip, (1-7 g) and a heavier carbon tip (5-12 g).

They released packs of Spin Style Dropshot Hooks in sizes 1, 2 and 4 with a built-in swivelling attachment, so you didn’t need to learn any special dropshot knots.

They also launched special Dropshot Weights in 5 and 10 g, plus Dropshot and Jig Braid in 8 lb and 10 lb, and Dropshot Fluorocarbon in 6, 8 and 10 lb.

Another 5 and 7 cm size Dropshot Kit features three rubber fish lures, three ‘spin-style hooks, and a 5 g and 10 g weight designed to help get you off the mark.

And they launched a cracking little lightweight 2000 size Snapper KDS Reel to finish your kit off with a 11+1 bearing system and micro-drag to ensure a nice balanced set-up.

It’s good kit, and I know Korum have sold a lot of it.
