£1.99 for two
Budget priced floats supplied two in a pack offering 0.5 gr and 0.75 gr sizes.
These are ideal for deeper commercial fishery swims, being aimed at corn,
meat and pellet presentations. The
packs have useful rig diagrams showing basic bulk rigs that are ideal for deeper pegs up to 8 ft. Carp 3s feature a classic body-down shape with high visibility hollow plastic sight tips and stable carbon stems. They hold back well in drift and support bigger baits (if required) due to their thicker than average and highly buoyant sight tips. Also fitted with two float rubbers, which is a nice touch.
Pronounced body-down floats with a narrow taper running into their long, medium diameter tips, finished off with long flexible fibreglass stems. They feature conventional side eyes combined with silicone tubes through their bodies, providing extra strength, while still maintaining conventional presentation. Available sizes are 4×16, 4×18, 1 gr, 1.25 gr and 1.5 gr. This covers all deeper water work on stillwaters when looking to anchor baits hard on the bottom, using small to medium sized baits like maggot, caster, worm, pellet, corn and scaled down meat offerings.
£2.99 for five
Supplied five floats in a pack, with a choice of 4×12, 4×14 or 4×16 sizes. The diamond shaped bodies have hollow plastic sight tips and fibreglass stems. Instead of a conventional side eye there’s a much stronger coiled wire eye set at the base of the tips, making these floats virtually indestructible. They are ideal for bulk weight set-ups in deeper swims, either with a simple low set bulk, or higher one with spread out dropper shot below. Also supplied with a pack of suitable sized float rubbers. These incredibly cheap floats stand up well against models retailing for double this price!
These body-down floats taper upwards into special plastic collars, which accept the orange, red, yellow of black nylon tips they are supplied with. They have conventional side eyes and very stable wire stems. The latter help to cock this design quickly, while the loadings of 0.25 gr, 0.5 gr, 0.75gr, 1 gr, 1.5 gr,
2 gr and 3 gr cover fishing at all depths. The different coloured nylon sight tips can be switched in seconds without affecting the rig, which is a big bonus if light conditions change. They are also quite sensitive, suiting more delicate winter presentation with smaller baits.
This thinner-tipped nylon bristle design is related to a thicker-tipped Series 4 version. The bulbous body tapers sharply into the tip, complimented by a long wire stem for extra stability – also aiding fast cocking. The 0.4 gr, 0.5 gr, 0.6 gr, 0.75 gr, 1 gr, 1.5 gr and 2 gr sizes cover all deep water requirements, especially at the heavier end. These floats are beautifully finished with an intricate pattern on a silver background. They have conventional side eyes for rock solid control when using bulk of strung shotting, also anchoring well without riding up in bad drift. Both practical and a work of art!
