THE just-implemented 2.5 per cent VAT rise to 20 per cent should NOT see the majority of tackle shop prices rise.
That is the prediction of Foster’s of Birmingham, one of Britain’s busiest tackle shops.
It should mean that a £1.99 item of terminal tackle or £9.99 bag of boilies will stay the same.
Foster’s goods-in manager Jamie Law explained: ‘Going to the trade shows in the autumn saw the vast majority of manufacturers already including the 20 per cent VAT in their prices.’
