SPECIMEN hunting ace Neill Stephen - who jointly holds the British perch record - has landed the fish of the winter in the shape of the unknown 42 lb 1 oz pike.

This awesome pike – the fish of the winter – starred on the Angler’s Mail front and inside… exclusively!

It’s a huge fish – you’ll have to check it out. And there’s more to come in the magazine.

Fishing inbetween Christmas and the New Year in the company of Angler’s Mail columnist John Bailey and renowned Brighton angler David Lambert, Neill banked stunning personal best.

The campaign also saw a 36 lb 5 oz stunner to North West-based Phil Harvey and another pristine specimen of 32 lb 15 oz to John.

Neill, 38, from Willesden, North West London said: “I should say, the real wow moment was when the fish went on the mat, and suddenly you could see the depth of it properly.”

This is just a short version of the full story and a two page indepth John Bailey three-page article of the wonder water that appeared in the printed magazine. More on this catch is coming in the magazine – exclusively.
