A NEW World Championships has been created to allow nations to compete at swimfeeder fishing, and Tom Pickering has been appointed England Feeder Team manager.

Five anglers from around the World will travel to Italy for this year’s contest in September, which will be held as part of the World Angling Games in the same week as the other World angling events, including the float-only main World Champs.

The new match will not only give anglers who have never fished an international a chance to represent their country, as anglers cannot fish two CIPS World events in the same year, but it could create a demand for feeder-only matches in the UK, as anglers polish up their skills.

Former individual World Champion and England Ladies Team manager Tom heard about his appointment last summer and has already by scouting for feeder experts to pick.
