RICHARD MILLS had a dream debut week on a mega tough Colne Valley lake where he upped his eel PB by 1 lb 9 oz with this 7 lb 5 oz wriggler.

Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex-based Richard offered a Dyson rig to pop-up four lobworms on a size 6 Gardner Incisor hook to a 35 lb Kryston Quicksilver trace and 15 lb main line.

The 42-year-old gardener explained: ‘It fell during heavy rain on the third day and the only other bite of the trip was a 2 lb 14 oz eel a day later. I used the Dyson rig due to the hordes of crayfish.
