TERRY-MILLWARDTERRY MILLWARD didn’t hang about when he joined the West Sussex carp and catfish mecca Wintons Fishery – he bagged this cracking 47 lb 4 oz common a few days later.

Terry witnessed the capture of a 38 lb common on the venue’s Kingfisher Lake to an other angler to whet his appetite, before returning to tempt one of its most sought-after residents.

The 47-pounder known as “The Pretty One”  more than doubled his previous best carp, Terry tempting it on a on a Mainline Cell pop-up on a size 8 Korda Kurve hook to a Nash Missing Link trace.

Roofer Terry, 36, explained: “It didn’t fight that hard to begin with but I got it in the margin and a huge tail plopped out as it made a run and I though it looked like Free Willie the killer whale.”
