DAVE COMBER set a new Sussex carp record when he took a true English giant of 54 lb 10 oz from an ultra-tough water.
The Alfa Romeo garage boss smashed his old PB by nearly 10 lb when he bagged the giant known as the Half Linear on a Vern Bait boilie supplied to just 20 BCSG members.
