Mr Crabtree and Peter – as they were. A new TV series will go in their footsteps…

THE long-awaited Mr Crabtree TV series is on Freeview via digital channel Quest so everyone in Britain can watch it at home!

Regular readers will know how Mail columnist John Bailey was on the banks filming last summer alongside youngsters mostly selected after our Search For Peter campaign.

The shows started on Thursday, January 24, and are every Thursday at 9pm.

They are based on the original Mr. Crabtree Goes Fishing comic strips telling stories of how a father takes his son Peter on a series of angling adventures over the course of a year, fishing for a variety of species along the rivers and lakes.

Quest are repeating each Crabtree show during the week after its first showing, showing full confidence in the series to be a big hit. Repeat times are Sundays at 8pm and Mondays at 10pm.
