TWO anglers who will never know if they banked British record mini species are Mark Wheeler and Lee Tomlinson.

Mark bagged a monstrous dace, weighed at 1 lb 4 oz, on freelined pellets from the River Colnebrook.

Mark’s capture is just 1 oz below North East specimen hunter Simon Ashton’s River Wear best set back in 2002

Meanwhile, Lee Tomlinson reeled in a humungous bullhead at club lake in Hertfordshire.
