BIG carp star Martin ‘Lucky” Locke has been inducted into carp fishing’s hall of fame for his services to carp fishing.

The founder and owner of innovative Solar Tackle joins the likes of Richard Walker, Rod Hutchinson, Jack Hilton, Pete Springate and Terry Hearn.

Martin has been seen in the Mail many times since the 1980s, starting with the capture of Sally, a 39 lb common from Savay Lake. That catch picture still forms the Solar logo today.

He landed his 100th 50 lb-plus carp in 2012, and held the world record at 94 lb.
